i was reading a post of the developershed.That all was almost rightly commented that though page rank and link building are the issue which are always in controvery with whether they help a website in getting better rankings in serp results.

They have described it as we all know google first looks for the most matching results if it is in a web page ,the main objective of google or (any other search engine) is to give the user desired result, in case they failed to do so their users might distract, if search engines base the links only as the main source of information that which website should be at top then it will be totally bad issue for the webmasters who make new websites full of information and with no backlinks, as we all know that for link exchange you should either have your website with so good content or your website should have some page rank already.

Whatever if you have a new website you might be thinking of this issue deeply but really link building can effect sometimes as i have seen. But if you have a content which is fresh and according to the user’s searched phrase and google has that page in their dbase then there is very much possibilty that you get ranked high.
