Mobile search

Wapsearch ? Is it really started.

well for me it seems a great way down there to get into mobile search.Google is ruling in the Internet search.but when it comes to cellphone search it is all behind.

What are the problem faced by the developers is the limited and very smaller area and scope for making new application even though they are trying their level best and soon make it best but then also there are some problems like giving proper and full search in just few keywords as people on mobile keypad sets are not able to type in like the computer keyboard.

They have to be given somewhat simple and easy going search which can also use wild cards..*,? .It doesn’t happen in web results but it should be included in cell phone results.

what people look on their handsets are generally the picture,downloadable ringtones,wallpapers and other softwares related to mobile phones they do not care about from where they should get the insurance and clothes etc, for it they prefer to visit the websites only or go to nearby stores so it will be interesting to see whether the mobile and its search really makes some big difference and can take place of web search or it is just limited to some things only.

Today there are many mobile search engine but i don’t know basically which one is best.

xhtml and wml which one is best

well there is always a discussion as to which language is better for making a wapsite whether is isnew generation xhtml or the language which help older handsets i.e the wml language.

I would like to say one thing first make clear what is your concept and your target market then just make the website according to them as far as i am concerned i will make a wapsite in wml as it is an older version but works well for all platforms and it is nice too but xhtml is also good,its all upto you to choose from.

Which country users like to search through their mobiles

I have some tracking codes and some statics from my wap sites which clearly indicates that most of the persons are from North America then comes the asian countries and africa also have some amount of wap traffic.
