Pay per click management
What is pay per click : (For publishers) It is a simple way to earn through your website or blog or forum. In it the advertising company provides you the ads of their company which you have to show on your website. When a user clicks through these advertisement you get paid for it. For every click there is a Click through rate or CTR.
For advertisers: It is a way to advertise your website on other websites so that you can drive web traffice to your website. Pay per click is a advertising model in which advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser’s website.
Categories of PPC
There are two categories of ppc or pay per click
Keyword matched ppc
Keyword matched pay per click means that advertisers will bid on keywords which can be words or key phrases.When a user searches for a particular word or phrase, the list of advertiser links appears in order of the amount bid.
Content Matched ppc :
content matched pay per click will distribute the keyword ads to the search engine’s partner sites and/or publishers that have distribution agreements with the search engine company.
Click through rate or ctr
Click through rate is a measures the success of an online advertising campaign.
A CTR can be calculated by dividing the number of users who clicked on an ad on a web page by the number of times the ad was delivered or shown on webpage (impressions). For example, if your websites banner ad was delivered 1000 times (impressions delivered) and one person clicked on it (clicks recorded), then the resulting CTR would be 10 percent.
A person have to choose from many options to what he wants to do. Every advertiser should have clear motto an appeal in its banners or anything and the landing page must be user friendly.Otherwise advertiser will suffer this all happens if you work without proper management.
CTR is most commonly defined as number of clicks divided by number of impressions and generally not in terms of number of persons who clicked. This is an important difference because if one person clicks 10 times on the same advertisement instead of once then the CTR would increase in the earlier definition but would stay the same in term of later definition.
