Title tags are the words seen on the top left hand corner of your internet browser.This is the most important part of the page. The title tag shows in search results and must feature your targeted keywords. In fact, the title tag alone can change your search engine rankings. Title tag help to identify to the search engines what your page is about. There is a character limit on how much text a search engine will read. As a best practice be specific, but descriptive and try to keep the title tag under 100 characters or 10-12 words.
Use a divider : You can use pipe symbol or arrow “>” or hyphen “-” and both work well. It is better if you can add some part of your website name in front of your title or after it.I would recommend placing it afterwards and also be short on it. Proper word order of the title tag must be maintained.Avoid placing dead weighted keywords like Home page, web, web page as they are just ignored by the search engine spiders, and though the stop words are also ignored (i.e. the, is, of, that, is, etc), but you still need some of them for your title tags to be easily understood by the users.
It will be better if you can judge what the people will type for searching not in keywords but in phrases.It should be eyecatching so even if your page is standing on 9 number of serps then also visitor click on it.It will be better to place the targeted keyword in the title tag,if you are running on word press blog then it will be better for using seo plugins for placing title tags.
