Buying Links What Google Think About It ?

well there are many people which sell their webrank through various methods in the form of directories or one way linking. While the google is against it as we all know that this creates a problem in the google algorithm to judge a page as PR is google’s one of the tool for ranking and judging web pages.

There is a link provided in the google webmaster tools where you can report the link buying of the other website.

But what about the text links which we sell or the banner ads as they also pass on the pr?

Google consider it also as a rank selling if you want to put only for advertisement or If you want to buy or sell a link purely for visitors or traffic and not for search engines, a simple method exists to do so (the nofollow attribute). Websites that sell links can lose their trust in search engines.Which means lower ranking and you will not be able to pass pr to another webpages.

What if someone buys link from you and report to google?

According to matt cutts

Google always try very hard to prevent site A from hurting site B. That’s why these reports aren’t being fed directly into algorithms, and are being used as the starting point rather than being used directly.individual links can be discounted and sellers can lose their ability to pass on PageRank/anchortext/etc., which doesn’t allow site A to hurt site B
