Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page. Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance (landing) pages aren’t relevant to your visitors. You can minimize Bounce Rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised in the ad copy.

Well i use to think this when i started the seo work about 2,3 years ago that there are some tactics through which google tracks how much time a person is spending on the website and how much he/she is happy with the information
provided on that webpage.Now one of the post on a seoblack hat site testifies it so you should better have a look on this matter.

How to DECREASE bouncing rate of your website

It is  a matter of caution if you are having a bouncing rate of more than 60% to 70% though it is also a high one but can be considered reasonable.

These are the factors that can help you in binding the visitors on your pages I have Used them and i am successful with these tips)

Include more videos eople love to watch instead of reading and so if you are able to add videos they will be happy with them.And atleast it would increase the time they spend on your website.
Include more images : Add images of products or whatever you are serving add realted image.
Quality design : Use css properly if you are using cms then try to make it good looking and free from script errors in all web browsers
Quality and quantity of content : This is also the most important part of it you have to be with quality and consistency in your content type using link structure and making site more navigational also helps a lot.
