Removing EBay Enhanced Picture Services ActiveX control

Posted by admin On August - 5 - 2009 Comments Off

1. Launch Internet Explorer
2. Select Tools -> Internet Options
3. Click the “Settings…” button in the “Temporary Internet files”
group
4. Click on “View Objects…”
5. This will launch Windows Explorer. In the Program File column you
should see “EPUImageControl Class”.
6. Right click and “Remove” the ActiveX control.
7. Return to the Internet Options and close the “Settings” window.
8. Under “Internet Options”, “Temporary Internet files”, click “Delete
Files” to delete any locally cached copies of the ActiveX control.

After removing the previous ActiveX Control, I would suggest you to
install it again. The ActiveX control for eBay Picture Services is a
small piece of software that allows you to resize, rotate and edit your
pictures. You won’t be able to use eBay Picture Services if your browser
isn’t set up to use JavaScript or ActiveX controls.

If you don’t already have ActiveX installed, you’ll be prompted to
download it when you access eBay Picture Services. Here’s what to do:

1. Click on the yellow bar at the top of the window to install the
ActiveX control.
2. Click “Upload” and then “Install” to install the eBay Picture
Services tool. Please bear in mind that it may take a while to download.

3. Continue with adding pictures to your listing.

Tip: If you’re using Windows XP, make sure you’re logged in as an
Administrator. To check your access level, go to the Control Panel and
click on “User Accounts”.

Using Basic Picture Service

If you choose not to install the ActiveX control, you can use the basic
picture service on the Sell Your Item form. When you click “Add
Pictures”, select the “Basic” tab.
